Our
proficiency in spreadsheets was developed in KPMG in the mid-1980s
and we have since designed financial models for some often-extraordinary
situations. These have been across many industry sectors, from scientific
and engineering applications to aerial agriculture (crop-dusting!).
The Business Banking division of Ireland's largest bank, AIB, commissioned
us to develop AIB CASHflow FORECAST - available to download here.
This model is less complex than many we have created for industry-specific
situations as it was designed for the average non-financially literate
small business user, specifically to assist Business Plan preparation
and conversion of profit forecasts to cashflow forecasts.
To date there have been very few business situations that we have
been unable to model. Our models have permitted clients to undertake
detailed "What If / Sensitivity" analyses, usually to support the
business planning and decision-making process.
